As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling a wide range of building materials, with a particular focus on windows. Your in-depth knowledge of window styles, types, and customer preferences, coupled with your understanding of the construction marketplace, will enable you to effectively identify and target potential customers. Whether it’s residential builders, commercial contractors, or architectural markets, you will be at the forefront of driving sales growth for the company.

Outside Sales Representative Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities in the construction marketplace, specifically focusing on windows and related products.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential projects, customers, and key decision-makers.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Utilize a proactive sales approach, making calls, conducting presentations, and negotiating contracts to meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product line, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Utilize a combination of MS Office Suite and Builder Trend-type software to manage sales activities and customer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of sales success in the construction marketplace, preferably in the supply industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, with a particular emphasis on windows and related products.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
  • Results-oriented with a customer-centric and needs-focused sales perspective.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
